Before drywall
Pathways, conduit stubs to exterior walls, camera drops at the right heights, a home run to every future access-controlled door, and power where the rack will live. Adding a single drop later can cost ten times what it costs now.
Coordinate with the door hardware
Electrified hardware, strikes, maglocks, request-to-exit devices and fire alarm release all have to be agreed with the general contractor and the AHJ. Access control that fails an inspection is a schedule problem, not a wiring problem.
Order the circuit early
Fiber installs in older Philadelphia buildings can take weeks and occasionally months. Order the internet circuit the day the lease is signed, and plan a temporary wireless failover so the opening date does not depend on the carrier.
