Row homes, converted warehouses and century-old commercial buildings all share the same wireless problem. Extenders are not the answer.
The walls are the problem
Double-wythe brick, lath-and-plaster with metal mesh, and old steel studs all attenuate 5 GHz signals badly. A single router in a front office simply cannot reach the back of the building, no matter how many antennas it advertises.
Wired access points beat mesh
Every mesh hop cuts usable throughput roughly in half and adds latency. A ceiling access point fed by its own Cat6 run gives full speed at every node and roams cleanly as people walk the building.
In most buildings, two or three properly placed wired access points outperform six extenders and cost less to support.
Design from a survey, not a guess
We walk the floor plate, measure signal against real construction, and place access points where coverage overlaps by design. Channel plans and power levels are then tuned so the units are not fighting each other or the neighbors.
